Programs for Aspiring Young Performers & Student Audiences

Northlight Theatre's education programming includes the Northlight Theatre Academy as well as programs for schools such as student matinees and in-school residencies.

Northlight Theatre Academy (NTA) is a multi-age performing arts program that trains future artists and audiences alike. We combine fundamental courses such as acting and improv with production opportunities in the largest professional theatre on Chicago's North Shore. NTA offers opportunities for students and adults.

NTA is built on the belief that self-expression, creative thought and confidence are the keys to well-being. We believe the arts teach these skills by encouraging reflective thought, discipline and collaboration. NTA programming consists of:
• Acting & Improv classes
• Company shows - fully staged productions on the Northlight stage
• Performing Arts Camp

Additional Education provide teachers with theatre experiences that can include in-school programs or visiting a production at Norhtlight. Our programs include:
• Student Matinees
• In-school residencies
