You could really "Feel the Heat" on Saturday, March 1st at Northlight's annual gala, Applause 2008: Feel the Heat, which raised over $200,000 for the theatre! What an exciting night as Actress Beth Broderick returned to serve as our fabulous Mistress of Ceremonies and live auctioneer, while E. Faye Butler, the incomparable star of Ella, serenaded attendees with her glorious voice. Actress/Comedian Nora Dunn of "Saturday Night Live" fame surprised guests with her attendance and her live auction prize was a big hit! Executive Director Tim Evans presented Artistic Director BJ Jones with the Evie Award in this his 10th Anniversary Season for his passionate and extraordinary service to the theatre. The evening was capped by selecting the winner of the grand prize raffle, which was a trip for two to either Costa Rica or Peru, generously sponsored by Austin-Lehman Adventures! Applause 2008: Feel the Heat was an unforgettable evening celebrating Northlight Theatre!
