 Timothy J. Evans (Executive Director) joined Northlight Theatre as Executive Director in April 2007 after a 20-plus year career at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Over the years at Steppenwolf, Tim served in varying capacities including Managing Director, Director of Marketing and Communications and Producer of Special Projects. He created, curated and produced Steppenwolf's acclaimed TRAFFIC Series, bringing Chicago Public Radio into its first relationship with Steppenwolf as a broadcast partner. In 2001, Tim founded Steppenwolf Films to develop quality film and television projects including the upcoming feature film Diminished Capacity. Tim has produced numerous Chicago productions including the appearance this spring of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the Pritzker Pavillion in Millenium Park. He has served on the board of directors of the League of Chicago Theatres, serving as Vice President from 1996-98. He was a charter member of the Governor's Task Force for Media Development from 2002-05 and currently serves on the board of directors of the Independent Film Project (IFP). Tim is a graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.
